On Saturday, November 5, we held our first-ever event in Toronto, celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Shanti Bhavan. The Canadian community turned out en masse and we can't thank you enough! Over 20 Shanti Bhavan children found new sponsors, and everyone in attendance enjoyed the reflections of Shanti Bhavan grads, staff, and volunteers. About This Event

In 1997, Shanti Bhavan Residential School opened its doors and welcomed 24 girls and 24 boys in their first Preschool and Kindergarten classes. 25 years later, Shanti Bhavan has proven its resilience through the success of its many graduates.

In 2021, Shanti Bhavan: Canada Chapter was founded. The Toronto event celebrates our first year of existence, and 25 years of Shanti Bhavan success. With it, we hope to raise awareness among Canadians about Shanti Bhavan’s incredible impact.

A Night to Remember

Enjoy an evening of friendship, entertainment, and inspiration. Shanti Bhavan Director of Operations Ajit George and alumnae Mala (Simon Fraser University) and Kusuma (Middlebury College) will be in attendance. Mala and Kusuma will share their heartfelt stories of growing up at Shanti Bhavan. We will also be joined by the Shivanjali Dance Academy and Ashtar, Magician and Mentalist!
