After watching the Netflix documentary Daughters of Destiny, I was overwhelmingly inspired and started learning more about how I could help Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project continue the incredible work they do for disadvantaged children in India. With previous career experience in sales, marketing and social work (quite the combo), I felt like I needed—and could do more—to help. While on maternity leave, I founded Rugs For Good, a social enterprise that raises money to donate to Shanti Bhavan. That started in 2019 and is still going strong, and I cannot wait to expand on my efforts to support Shanti Bhavan within the Australian chapter.
