Kate Barton of EY Expresses Her Support for Shanti Bhavan

April 19, 2018

Dear Friends,

Kate Barton, Global Vice Chair Elect for Tax Services at EY, is a great supporter of Shanti Bhavan. EY employs the largest number of Shanti Bhavan graduates of any organization in India. EY has also invested in scaling Shanti Bhavan, contributing to the construction of our second school. As guest of honor at our 20th Anniversary Gala last November, Ms. Barton spoke about her passion for Shanti Bhavan and its mission.

Now, Ms. Barton has done the same on LinkedIn in an article entitled Ending Intergenerational Poverty, One Classroom at a Time.

“What amazes me most about Shanti Bhavan’s inspiring graduates is how opportunity and empowerment has redefined what they saw as possible. This past month, I had the chance to meet a few Shanti Bhavan graduates in India who have accomplished so much in their careers. They continue to give back to their communities in big ways, whether it’s by negotiating infrastructure improvements for villages or fighting for the rights of the disenfranchised.”

Thank you, Ms. Barton, and all of our supporters for your continued passion and dedication – we can’t do what we do without you!
